Pool Stairs - Pool Ladders for in ground pools have a 3 step or 4 step design, and above ground pool ladders have a 5 step design. Hand Rails aid swimmers using built-in stairs and Grab Rails are used with in-wall pool steps. Pool Steps are meant for above ground or in ground pools, or as in-pool steps or when two are used, an A-frame step system on the inside and outside of the pool. Pool Steps or stairs are easier to use for most adults than vertical pool ladders. Above Ground Pool Ladders are available with one side only, for use with a perimeter pool deck not more than 54" higher than the pool floor. Free standing above ground pools use an A-frame type of ladder for entry and exit, equipped with a locking or s to w able ladder, to prevent unauthorized use.
